Papatango today announces a series of awards and projects to mark its 10th anniversary, including the winner of the 2017 Papatango New Writing Prize, the 2017 Papatango Resident Playwright, its first UK tour, the launch of a participation and engagement sub-company delivering free playwriting opportunities nationwide, and a book empowering writers to break into professional playwriting.

The Fools & Kings Project in collaboration with Riverbank State Park opened its free outdoor production of Much Ado About N othing on Saturday, May 6th at Summit Rock at 6:00 PM (entrance at W 86th Street and Centra Park West). MCC Theater today announced complete casting for the American Premiere of the play The End of Longing, a new play written by and starring 'Friends' star Matthew Perry in his NYC playwriting and stage acting debuts.

2nd Story Theatre in Warren is currently offering Sam Bobrick and Ron Clark's 1979 classic MURDER AT THE HOWARD JOHNSON'S. Did I say classic? What I meant was a shallow, pithy, superficial, farcical, and light-weight comedy. Bobrick and Clarke cut their teeth writing tv comedy for some of the smartest television of all time like The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Steve Allen Show. (Look these up if you have to.) This is a comedy about murder and infidelity-now who couldn't like that? 2nd Story says they were shooting for 'a pain-reducing balm' to what we've been experiencing the past months, and I think they more or less delivered. The audience was laughing and, my God, needed it.

In addition to its performances of 'Dial 'M' for Murder', the Hill Country Community Theatre will also be holding a very special event.
