Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum artist Carrie Underwood will perform on next week's AMERICAN IDOL. One of AMERICAN IDOL's most successful winners, Underwood has sold more than 12 million records worldwide. Another Grammy Award-winning, chart-topping act, the world-famous alternative rock band Coldplay, also will perform, hitting the IDOL stage for the first time.

EWOnline.com reports that British band Coldplay will make their AMERICAN IDOL debut on the May 3rd results show. According to the report, the band will be performing a song from their recently released album Mylo Xyloto.

Just six contestants remain on American Idol this week, all vying for your votes. This, of course, begs the question: who of the six will rise to the occasion for the legendary songs of Queen?
