The Color Purple's Carrie Compere will join the cast of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical in the role of Sally this March for the brand-new production at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street).

Producers of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical have announced that his March for the brand-new production at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street). The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical begins performances on March 23, opening on Tuesday, April 4 and will run through May 6, 2017. More casting has just been announced!

Jaime Keeling's smash-hit parody of the 1991 Keanau Reeves/Patrick Swayze extreme action blockbuster movie Point Break, will be delivering the extreme 90s sports action, senseless action and unintentionally hilarious dialogue of the original film to NYC this summer for an open ended run at various locations throughout the city. The over-the-top, action-packed comedy in a punk-theater setting will see it's first two performances tonight, August 2nd at the Bell House in Brooklyn and August 10th at Webster Hall in Manhattan.

In OP, the subtleties, intimacy, puns, rhyming and characterizations in Shakespeare's plays and poetry are more audible than they are in contemporary English. The modern presentation of Shakespeare's plays in period pronunciation is gaining momentum and the Shakespeare OP Players are proud to bring their second production to New York next month, following a successful run of Twelfth Night in OP last year at the American Theatre of Actors (ATA).

The Pearl Theatre Company (J.R. Sullivan, Artistic Director) has announced its final production of the 2011-12 season, Eugene O'Neill's A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN. Last Life will play its final performance on March 14 at the Ohio Theatre (66 Wooster Street located between Spring and Broome).

After a completely sold-out run at the Brick Theatre's Fight Fest, and subsequent sold-out extension, Last Life returns for two-weeks only at the Ohio Theatre (66 Wooster Street located between Spring and Broome) beginning March 4th and ending the 14th running Thursdays - Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 7 pm.
