Billy Porter's WHILE I YET LIVE Begins Previews Tonight

Primary Stages in association with Susan Dietz (Fela!, Mothers and Sons), presents the world premiere of While I Yet Live by the Tony-winning star of Kinky Boots and Angels in America, Billy Porter, and directed by Tony Award nominee Sheryl Kaller (Mothers and Sons, Next Fall, Adrift in Macao). While I Yet Live plays a limited, six-week engagement, tonight, September 24, through October 31 at Primary Stages at The Duke on 42nd Street - a NEW 42ND STREET project (229 West 42nd Street). Opening night is Sunday, October 12 at 5PM.

Deadline broke the news that Pauly Shore's documentary PAULY SHORE STANDS ALONE was acquired by Showtime - the film will premiere on December 4th. Directed by Shore, the film chronicles his comedy tour across the midwest as he deals with his ailing mother, legendary Comedy Store owner Mitzi Shore. The film will be also premiering at the Woodstock Film Festival in October.

Comedy Central's newest late night hit '@midnight,'produced by Funny Or Die, will hit the road this fall, trading Silicon Beach for Silicon Alley. The social media sensation joins the stellar lineup of the 2014 New York Comedy Festival to tape a week of shows which will air Monday, November 3 throughThursday, November 6 at Midnight ET/PT.
Hosted by Chris Hardwick (@nerdist), the special NYCF week of episodes will include visual and textual nods to New York and feature a coterie of comedians playing fan favorites such as #HashtagWars, Rapid Refresh and Sweet Emoji. Emerson Theatre Collaborative (ETC), in association with Black Stars of the Great White Way - a Chapman Roberts and Richard Allen Center for Art & Culture, announces its production of the play, Hour Farther written by David Horace Greer, directed by Camilla Ross, and starring renowned stage and screen actor and singer, Kirk Taylor.
