Executive-Producer Armand Hyatt today announced that two Emmy-nominated and beloved soap stars are joining the cast of Off-Broadway's longest running play, PERFECT CRIME this month, celebrating the record-breaking murder mystery as it enters its historic 33rd year of performances. Both Robert Newman and Grant Aleksander of GUIDING LIGHT fame will be taking on the role of Detective James Ascher in the classic whodunit that continues its run in the Anne L. Bernstein Theater at The Theater Center. Mr. Newman will perform in the role now through May 8th and May 24th - June 16th and Mr. Aleksander will perform in the role May 10th - May 22nd and June 17th - June 30th. CAPE FEAR REGIONAL THEATRE, winner of BroadwayWorld's Award for Best Musical two years running, is pleased to announce the opening of the hit production, 'ANNIE,' with Book by Thomas Meehan, Music by Charles Strouse and Lyrics by Martin Charnin, based on 'Little Orphan Annie'. The production is directed and choreographed by Robin Levine, with musical direction by Jillian K. Zack. The show features two different youth casts of orphans, the Charles cast and the Strouse cast. Playing the roles of Annie are Lily Hogge (Charles Cast) and Zoi Pegues (Strouse Cast). Also, featured in the company are Robert Newman as Oliver 'Daddy' Warbucks, who is best known for his 28-year run as 'Joshua Lewis' on the hit television series Guiding Light, and Erin Fish as Ms. Hannigan who recently played the role on the U.S. National Tour.

Robert Newman, best known for his 28 year run as Joshua Lewis on the longest running program in broadcasting history, Guiding Light, and more recently on the hit Showtime series Homeland and this upcoming season of the hit Netflix series House of Cards, will be joining the cast of Off-Broadway's longest running play, PERFECT CRIME, replacing Richard Shoberg on Monday, February 20th, in the role of Inspector James Ascher at the Anne L. Bernstein Theater.

Theatre Workshop of Nantucket welcomes Kim Zimmer, Robert Newman, Olivia Howell and Grant Tambellini in Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, directed by Dan Foster. Earlier this evening, Pittsburgh CLO Guild President Anne Liparulo announced the Guild's pledge of $500,000 to Pittsburgh CLO's Next Generation Campaign at the 62ndAnnual Pittsburgh CLO Guild Gala, "An Evening in Paris." This special gift was presented as a surprise to Van Kaplan, accompanied by the 2017 CLOE Award, in honor of his 20th Anniversary as Executive Producer of the organization. The gift ensures Pittsburgh CLO will surpass its $10 million Next Generation Campaign goal.
