Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt-Managing Director) is proud to announce casting for Curtains. Directed by Mark S. Hoebee, with choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter, Curtains will run at the Millburn theater from April 27 through May 22, 2011. Family Week is April 27 through May 1 and during this period, children 18 and under receive half off the regular ticket price (certain restrictions apply). Curtains is generously supported by a gift from Allen and Joan Bildner. Curtains is a co-production with Theatre Under The Stars in Houston, Texas. Press opening is set for Sunday, May 1st at 7:00pm.

Curtains will run at the Millburn theater from April 27 through May 22, 2011. Family Week is April 27 through May 1 and during this period, children 18 and under receive half off the regular ticket price (certain restrictions apply). Curtains is generously supported by a gift from Allen and Joan Bildner. Curtains is a co-production with Theatre Under The Stars in Houston, Texas. Student rush tickets are $25 and are available the day of performance in person with current student ID. Tickets may be purchased by calling 973-376-4343 , or at the Paper Mill Box Office on Brookside Drive in Millburn, or online at Paper Mill Playhouse's website: www.papermill.org.

The show brings a superb cast to the Paper Mill Playhouse stage. Robert Newman (Lt. Frank Cioffi) is a four-time nominee for the Soap Opera Digest Award and two-time Daytime Emmy Award nominee. He is best known for his role as Joshua Lewis on Guiding Light. Kim Zimmer (Carmen Bernstein) won four Daytime Emmy Awards for 'Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series' for her portrayal of Reva Shayne on Guiding Light.

'Guiding Light' actor and two time Emmy nominee Robert Newman joins the cast of the original baseball musical National Pastime when it plays May 1st in the Grandstand Theater at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. The show, with book by Tony Sportiello and music/lyrics by Al Tapper, plans a Broadway run in the spring of 2011.

Michigan's Barn Theatre Forced to Cut Summer Productions

Michigan's long-running Barn Theatre has been forced to cancel the remaining productions in its 2009/2010 season due to budgetary constraints. The theatre, which has been a staple in Michigan, providing theatre for more than 60 years, has been home to some of Broadway's biggest names including Jonathan Larson, Marin Mazzie, and Tom Wopat.

SESSIONS, the musical about the everyday life of a New York therapist and his patients, will close after the matinee (3PM) on Sunday, January 3rd at the Algonquin Theater. SESSIONS is directed by Thomas Cote and written by Albert M. Tapper (From Where I Stand, Broadway: The Golden Age), produced by Jason Hewitt and Tony Sportiello/Algonquin Theater Productions. The musical began at The Peter Jay Sharp Theater in 2007 where it played 109 performances prior to moving to the Algonquin Theater in 2008 where it played 61 previews will have played 360 performances. SESSIONS stars Robert Newman, a two-time Daytime Emmy nominee for his longtime work as Joshua Lewis on 'Guiding Light.'
