To commemorate the 210th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin, 'Russia's Shakespeare' and most beloved writer, Green Lamp Press presents the world premiere in English verse of Pushkin's LITTLE TRAGEDIES - described by Dostoyevsky as 'the greatest play ever in any language,' translated and co-directed by award-winning author Julian Henry Lowenfeld -- with previews beginning November 3, prior to its official press opening November 5, at Baryshnikov Arts Center's Howard Gilman Performance Space in Manhattan.

By Russia's most beloved writer Alexander Pushkin, LITTLE TRAGEDIES, translated into English verse and co-directed by Julian Henry Lowenfeld, are four short, humorous plays about human nature's inherent contradictions In 'The Knight-Miser,' the richest man in the world discovers that money can't buy the respect of his son.
