All the Way, the new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, starring BREAKING BAD's Bryan Cranston, begins previews on Broadway today, Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Neil Simon Theatre. The production officially opens on Thursday, March 6, 2014 for a strictly limited engagement. The play is directed by Bill Rauch, Artistic Director of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, where All the Way began its theatrical life.

The producers of All the Way, the new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan (The Kentucky Cycle), havea announced that The Neil Simon Theatre Box Office (250 West 52nd Street) will open on Monday, January 20th (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) at 10:00 a.m. and will offer a special advance student price for one day only. Unlike other regular student rush offers, which limit purchases for day-of only, the producers are offering students with a valid ID the chance to purchase tickets at $37 for all performances through April 6, 2014. Producers Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel and Louise Gund have announced that James Eckhouse, most recently seen in the world premiere of Jane Anderson's 'The Escort' at The Geffen Playhouse and best known for playing Jim Walsh on the original 'Beverly Hills 90210', will play the role of Robert McNamara in the Broadway bound production of ALL THE WAY by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan (The Kentucky Cycle).

Ruff, who was most recently seen on Broadway in Romeo and Juliet, joins previously announced three-time Emmy Award-winning actor Bryan Cranston ('Breaking Bad') as Lyndon B. Dirden as Martin Luther King, Jr., Rob Campbell as Governor George Wallace, and 5-time Tony nominee John McMartin (Into the Woods, High Society, Sweet Charity, Show Boat, Don Juan) as Richard Russell. Coretta Scott King, wife of Martin Luther King, Jr., helped lead the African-American Civil Rights Movement. Fannie Lou Hamer was a voting rights activist and civil rights leader who was instrumental in organizing Mississippi Freedom Summer for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). Transport Group, the Drama Desk and OBIE award-winning theatre company, will host New York Times best-selling and National Book Award-winning author Jonathan Franzen following the 7PM performance of House for Sale, by Franzen, adapted for the stage and directed by Daniel Fish,on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project. Transport Group Artistic Director Jack Cummings III will moderate a discussion with Franzen and Fish, followed by an audience Q & A.

The program for Transport Group's premiere production of director Daniel Fish's stage adaptation of Jonathan Franzen's essay, House For Sale, tells us that every performance is different, because each actor has apparently memorized the entire ninety minute piece and the sections of the text they perform each night are determined on the spot when the on-stage rows of lights display the color they've been assigned.  Unfortunately, audience members don't get programs until after the play is done, so if you're not aware that the original piece was written in one voice you have no idea that each ensemble member represents the same person and may wind up spending too much time trying to figure out what the blinking lights are supposed to mean.

Don't tell God, but for some people pop culture not even a century old can provide the same kind of spiritual inspiration and comfort as the ancient texts and traditions of organized religion.  Just ask Adelaide, the central character of Colman Domingo's wonderfully joyous, sweet and funny adventure, Wild With Happy.  No, wait, you can't.  Because she's dead when the play starts.
