The Broward Center for the Performing Arts and Slow Burn Theatre Company present Peter and the Starcatcher Thursday, November 9 Sunday, November 26.

Live theater has made great strides in accessibility for people who are visual or hearing impaired and for those with mobility issues, but designing and presenting productions for audiences with differing cognitive abilities is attempted far less frequently.

On September 23, the Long Beach Playhouse opens its 2017 Mainstage Season. This year's season combines perennial favorites like My Fair Lady, Arsenic and Old Lace and Agatha Christie's Black Coffee with newer plays like Peter and the Starcatcher, Flight and Pack of Lies.

Peninsula Players Theatre, in conjunction with its production of the magical and hilarious "Peter and the Starcatcher" by Rick Elice, will host a pre-show seminar Thursday, July 13 starting at 6:30 p.m.   "Peter and the Starcatcher" is based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson with music by Wayne Barker and is a grown-up prequel to the legendary Peter Pan. Harter Clingman, who portrays Smee, will host a discussion in the theater before the July 13 performance.

???????A magical adventure is in store for audiences at Peninsula Players Theatre when its production of "Peter and the Starcatcher" by Rick Elice ("Jersey Boys," "Addams Family") opens July 5.  Based on the novel by humorist David Barry and suspense novelist Ridley Pearson, "Peter and the Starcatcher" is a grown-up's prequel to Peter Pan featuring swashbuckling pirates, mischievous mermaids, spirited seafarers, a trunk full of magic starstuff and the adventures of a nameless orphan boy and his new friend Molly.  This Tony Award-winning play will light up the theatre-in-a-garden with its stardust and transport audiences to a Neverland they never knew through July 23.
