Matt Chait’s A Family Business world premieres November 17, 2023, at the Hudson Mainstage Theatre (with previews November 15th and 16th). Brian Shnipper directs the cast of Eric Stanton Betts, Alli Brown, Michelle Jasso, Lindsay G. Merrithew, Bruce Nozick and Julie Pearl. I had the chance to throw out a few questions to Matt, the playwright and man integral to Los Angeles Theatre history.

'Bliss Street,' a new musical recounting a significant chapter of New York's iconic 70s Rock & Roll history, is extending it's run by one week, through May 20, 2023.

'Bliss Street' is a new musical recounting a significant chapter of New York's iconic 70's Rock & Roll history.  It documents the life and legacy of Paul Sub, who founded and ran a succession of New York music clubs in the 1970's.

'Who Murdered Love?' by Lissa Moira and Richard West is a Dadaist musical comedy set in 1924 New York City and in a Paris dreamscape. Its story follows WWI veteran and private eye 'Sleepy' Sam Speed, his girl, Gail Friday and his junior detective, Everett Greene, as they attempt to unravel the disappearance and possible murder of DaDa Love at the behest of their client, a stunning heiress named Honey Potts.

Equal parts Bugs Bunny and Guillermo del Toro, THE SLAUGHTER BROTHERS DIME CIRCUS - A RADIO FANTASY is a meta-theatrical reflection on the nature of power and revenge. A highly theatrical blend of low-end carnival, violent vaudeville, clowns with issues, and insectoid horror, elevated by original music by Sullivan and Matthew Reid that can best be described as the unholy spawn of ironic German cabaret, swampy rhythm and blues, and carnival music of the damned.

The tongue-in-cheek anthology, Abdication!, will be a featured event for the 10th anniversary THEATER FOR THE NEW CITY DREAM UP FESTIVAL 2019.

The world premiere of A Misunderstanding by Matt Chait (Disinherit the Wind) opens on Friday, Jan. 4 at The Complex in Hollywood, where performances continue through Feb. 3. Sirota and directed by Clint Hromsco. The production continues Mondays at 7:00 pm through June 25th 2018.

Sirota and directed by Clint Hromsco. The production continues Mondays at 7:00 pm through December 18th, 2017, then returns Monday, January 15th, 2018 at 7:00 pm and continues Mondays at 7:00 pm through March 5th, 2018.
