BOOK OF MORMON, EVITA, ONCE, FLASHDANCE and More Set for PPAC's 2013-14 Broadway Season

J.L. 'Lynn' Singleton, President of the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC), has announced PPAC's 36th Anniversary Broadway season and welcome Taco/The White Family Foundation as the returning Broadway Series title sponsor. From the creators of South Park and winner of nine Tony Awards, THE BOOK OF MORMON will play a limited two-week engagement April 28 - May 11, 2014.

Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group announced earlier today that their spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera will launch a North American tour beginning this November in Providence, R.I at the Providence Performing Arts Center. With newly reinvented staging and stunning scenic design, this new version of PHANTOM, the most successful musical of all-time, will play more than 20 multi-week engagements through next year, including Cincinnati, OH and Minneapolis, MN. A complete tour schedule will be announced in the coming weeks. First unveiled in March, 2012 in Plymouth, England, this reinvented PHANTOM has been an enormous box-office and critical hit throughout the U.K. Check out photos and highlights from the newly imagined production below!

London's 'Phantom' Peter Jöback to Star in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA on Broadway from April 29

The longest-running show in Broadway history, Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince and produced by Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Theatre Company, Inc., will welcome West End star and Platinum-selling Swedish recording star Peter Jöback to the New York cast this summer. Mr. Jöback will assume the title role for a limited engagement from Monday, April 29 through Saturday, August 24, 2012.

Tonight, Monday, January 21, 2013, the longest-running show in Broadway history, Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince and produced by Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Company, Inc., will welcome Broadway and West End star Sierra Boggess to the New York cast. Ms. Boggess will play a strictly-limited engagement as leading lady Christine Daaé for 6 weeks through Saturday, March 2.

Producers today announced an online sweepstakes to give PHANTOM 'Phans' the chance to be part of the historic night's invitation-only performance. While many of the evening's details are being kept under wraps, the special night will begin with an early 6:30 PM performance at The Majestic Theatre (247 West 44th Street), the musical's home for its entire run.
