The Theatre Museum Awards for Excellence were held Monday night, April 30, at The Players Club. Helen Guditis, President of The Theatre Museum, five time Tony winner Stewart F. Lane, Chairman of the Board of The Theatre Museum and 2011 Honoree for Distinguished Service to the Theatre, Bonnie Comley hosted a celebration to honor excellence in the theatre. Paul Gross, one of Canada's acclaimed actors, leads the cast of Are You There, McPhee? a world premiere by John Guare at McCarter Theatre Center. Directed by Sam Buntrock, the production runs tonight, May 4 through June 3, 2012. (Opening Night: Friday, May 11.)

Produced by McCoy Rigby Entertainment, this surprisingly full-scale production of the West End/Broadway hit is not only a feast for those with a penchant for big, grandiose theatrics, it will also please those seeking to hear a lovely, euphoric score performed by a talented ensemble.

York Theatre Company, celebrating the legendary librettist and lyricist Tom Jones with Musicals in Mufti: The Tom Jones Festival, concludes the spring series with the New York premiere of The Game of Love, with book and lyrics by Tom Jones, music by classical composer Jacques Offenbach, and arrangements & additional music by Nancy Ford. The Game of Love is based The Anatol Plays by Arthur Schnitzler. The limited engagement will play 5 performances only May 11 -13 at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

York Theatre Company has announced a developmental lab presentation of the new musical, In Love with Jobim, with Concept & Book by Ernest Chambers, and Music by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Directed by Pamela Hunt (The Musical of Musicals!), and with Music Direction by Lawrence Yurman (Grey Gardens). The four-member cast includes Ashley Perez Flanagan (Prometheus Bound at A.R.T.), Curt Hansen (Hairspray), Ken Land (Promises, Promises) and Jeff McCarthy (Urinetown).

The event will be held in the 30th Floor Media Room of BMI's New York office at 7 World Trade Center/250 Greenwich Street tonight, April 26, at 5:30PM and is open to members of the entertainment industry as well as Workshop members. Transport Group, the Drama Desk and OBIE award-winning theatre company, has announced that it will present a one-night-only, all-star concert of the acclaimed 1983 Broadway musical Baby on Monday, June 18 at 7pm at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, 121 Christopher Street. The evening will be directed by Jack Cummings III, with musical direction by Chris Haberl. Original cast members Liz Callaway and Todd Graff, who received Tony Award nominations for their performances, will host the evening. The cast will be announced at a later date.
