Rehearsals are underway for the world premiere of Danai Gurira's The Convert at McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, NJ, January 13 through February 12, 2012 (press opening: January 20). Directed by Emily Mann, The Convert is produced in association with Center Theatre Group (Los Angeles) and The Goodman Theatre (Chicago). The cast features Pascale Armand, Cheryl Lynn Bruce, Zainab Jah, Kevin Mambo, LeRoy McClain, Warner Joseph Miller, and Harold Surratt.

Sundance Institute announced today the films selected to screen in the out-of-competition Premieres and Documentary Premieres sections of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. Included in this year's line-up is Price Check, featuring Cheyenne Jackson, Parker Posey, and Annie Parisse.The Festival will be held January 19 through 29 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. THE CABIN IN THE WOODS is coming to theaters on April 13, 2012 from Lionsgate. Robert Redford has cast Susan Sarandon, Julie Christie and Richard Jenkins to star beside him in the upcoming ‘The Company You Keep,' according to Deadline. Redford will also direct the drama which will also star Shia LaBeouf, Nick Nolte and Brit Marling. The film's a co-production between Voltage Pictures and Wildwood Enterprises.

LIONSGATE® (NYSE: LGF), a leading global entertainment company, acquired worldwide distribution rights to the horror film THE CABIN IN THE WOODS from MGM and scheduled the film to be released on April 13, 2012, it was announced today jointly by Joe Drake, President of the Motion Picture Group, and Jason Constantine, President of Acquisitions and Co-Productions. The company will be distributing the film in North America and the UK, with Lionsgate's international sales team handling overseas sales.

David O. Russell will be the subject of the first director retrospective at the newly expanded Museum of the Moving Image. It will close February 6, 2011.
