Guthrie Announces Three NT Live Screening Dates for 11/12 Season

The Guthrie Theater today announced three NT Live screening dates for the 2011-12 season: the smash-hit London production One Man, Two Guvnors (October 2), an English version of Carlo Goldoni's classic Italian comedy; Arnold Wesker's fast and furious examination of life in The Kitchen (November 6); and Collaborators (January 9), John Hodge's blistering new play depicting a lethal game of cat and mouse in 1938 Moscow.

Manhattan Theatre Club (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer; Mandy Greenfield, Artistic Producer) announces the 2011 recipients of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Initiative commissions. This year's eight commissioned writers are Daniel Goldfarb (Cradle & All), Anne Washburn (The Internationalist), Lisa D'Amour (Detroit), Samuel D. Hunter (Bright New Boise), Anna Ziegler (Photograph 51), Nick Payne (Wanderlust), Michael West (Freefall) and Hannie Rayson (Life After George).

The National Theatre is delighted to announce show titles for the third season of National Theatre Live (NT Live), a successful initiative to broadcast live performances from the National's stages to cinemas worldwide. Since its first season, which began in June 2009 with the acclaimed production of Phédre starring Helen Mirren, over half a million people have now experienced the National's acclaimed work on movie screens around the world.

Nicholas Hytner's One Man, Two Guvnors will soon transfer to the West End for a 16 week run following its sell-out run at The National Theatre, subsequent UK tour and National Theatre Live cinema broadcast. Now according to Vartiety, producer Bob Boyett is eyeing a possible Broadway run in the 2011-2012 season. Additional details have not yet been announced. Performances at the Adelphi Theatre begin 8 November 2011 and run through 25 February 2012.

Nicholas Hytner's five star production of One Man, Two Guvnors will transfer to the West End for a 16 week run following its sell-out run at the National Theatre, subsequent UK tour and National Theatre Live cinema broadcast. Nearly 200,000 tickets go on sale on Thursday 14 July for performances at the Adelphi Theatre from 8 November 2011 - 25 February 2012. Press night will be on 21 November at 7pm.

Richard Bean's revised version of Carlo Goldini's A Servant of Two Masters, titled: ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS features James Corden in the title role. The production, directed by Nicolas Hynter, currently plays the National Theatre's Lyttleton Theatre.
