Center Theatre Group will present Dreamgirls, Music by Henry Krieger, Lyrics and Book by Tom Eyen, Directed and Choreographed by Robert Longbottom, and Co-Choreography by Shane Sparks. Dreamgirls will preview at the Ahmanson Theatre on February 25th, and opens on February 26th through April 4, 2010.

The Associated Press reports that President Barack Obama's gift of an iPod to Queen Elizabeth II came packed with 40 songs from popular Broadway productions, including 'The King and I,' 'West Side Story', 'Dreamgirls' and 'The Phantom of the Opera'.

Screenings will begin at 8 p.m. The programs are presented by the Academy's Science and Technology Council in conjunction with its 'Dressed in Color: The Costumes' exhibition, which includes costumes from both films.
