The Antaeus Company, Los Angeles's classical theater ensemble, will open ClassicsFest 2010 with King Lear, its first full production of a Shakespeare play. Bart DeLorenzo will direct King Lear with renowned scholar, actor, and Antaeus founding artistic director Dakin Matthews and Broadway veteran/three-time Tony nominee Harry Groener heading two fully double-cast ensembles.

SCR Associate Artistic Director John Glore adapted this story of siblings Meg and Charles Wallace Murry, who travel through time to save their father from the dark force of It. Directed by Shelley Butler, Wrinkle runs Feb. 5-27 on the Julianne Argyros stage.

As per notice from The Antaeus Company, due to circumstances beyond production's control, the opening nights for The Antaeus Company's world premiere adaptation of COUSIN BETTE have been pushed back a week. The new opening dates are: Saturday, February 6 at 7:30pm and Sunday, February 7 at 4pm.

EMILIE: La Marquise Du Châtelet Defends Her Life at the Petit Théâtre at Cirey Tonight WORLD PREMIERE, By Lauren Gunderson and Directed by David Emmes

Natacha Roi and Don Reilly take on the historical roles of Emilie Du Châtelet and Voltaire in the World Premiere of Lauren Gunderson's Emilie - La Marquise Du Châtelet Defends Her Life at the Petit Théâtre at Cirey Tonight at South Coast Repertory. Commissioned by SCR and directed by Producing Artistic Director David Emmes, Emilie will run from April 19 through May 10, 2009 on the Julianne Argyros Stage. Low-priced previews are available from April 19 through April 23. Opening night is April 24. A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed repertory theatre company, stages Henrik Ibsen?s Ghosts, a haunting tale of unrequited passion, revelation and horror, which opens Saturday, March 21 and runs through Saturday, May 9, 2009 (previews begin Saturday, March 14). Directed by Michael Murray, the cast features Mark Bramhall (Estrand), Alex Feldman (Oswald), Rebecca Mozzo (Regina), Deborah Strang (Mrs. Alving) and Joel Swetow (Manders).
