Ali Barouti, Alexandra Gilbreath, John Hollingworth and Jessica Rhodes will appear in the first major London revival of Lucy Prebble's debut play THE SUGAR SYNDROME, directed by Oscar Toeman, runner up for the JMK Award 2019 with designer Rebecca Brower.

Back in 2003, before writing the superb Enron, A Very Expensive Poison and the Emmy Award-winning TV series Succession, Lucy Prebble's first play The Sugar Syndrome made its debut at London's Royal Court. It now comes to Richmond's Orange Tree in its first major revival, in a darkly funny and thought-provoking exploration of the internet's potential to bring the most unlikely people together.

Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres, Robert Hastie, today announces the full cast for the world première of Giles Foden's The Last King of Scotland, adapted for the stage by Steve Waters; and for their major revival of Charlotte Keatley's My Mother Said I Never Should in a co-production with fingersmiths.

Amanda Wingfield's (Lesley Ewen) hopes that her two children will lead a more stable life than hers grapple with their own sense of individuality. While their mother lives in a past made of suitors and debutantes worrying about the future of her unmarried daughter Laura (Naima Swaleh) - a shy and scarred young woman who spends her days polishing her glass trinkets - Tom (Michael Abubakar) desperately wants to break free from his dead-end job at a shoe warehouse.

The Trustees of the JMK Trust today announce that Tristan Fynn-Aiduenu wins the 2019 JMK Award, this year in a new partnership with the Orange Tree Theatre, with his production of Arinze Kene's Little Baby Jesus forming a core part of the theatre's annual programming.

Today the Lyric Hammersmith announces its Spring 2019 season, the final productions programmed by outgoing Artistic Director Sean Holmes. The season celebrates Holmes' tenure - bringing back one of his most successful shows, reflecting the Lyric's partnerships with the UK's leading theatre companies, and embodying a reputation for daring new work alongside a commitment to nurturing the creativity of young people.

Every year, in the village of Pressan Ambo a young man is chosen to go on the unfortunate quest to try to find Francis, the heir of a large estate who went missing as a child. Ray Cooney celebrates his 85th birthday and 70 years in showbiz in 2017, and to mark these momentous milestones he is working with producer Tom O'Connell on a brand new season of his classic comedies - including an updated production of his Olivier award-winning Westminster comedy Out of Order.

Out of Order, the Olivier Award-winning comedy returns to the stage in a gleeful new production directed by playwright Ray Cooney, ('THE MASTER OF FARCE' - The Telegraph), who is celebrating seventy years in the industry.

Raising Martha, a brand new dark comedy by award-winning writer David Spicer, and directed by Michael Fentiman, will have its world premiere at Park Theatre from 12 January 2017, playing until 11 February, with a press night on Tuesday 17 February.
