The Cleveland Orchestra, under the direction of William Eddins, will perform The Star-Spangled Spectacular brought to you by Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, its 24th annual free community concert in downtown Cleveland, on Monday, July 1, on Public Square. The Loyola Ballet, directed by Laura Zambrano, celebrates National Dance Week with a mixed repertory program of classical, contemporary and character works including several dances to popular music from the early 1900s in celebration of Loyola's centennial. The performances Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 are set for 8 p.m. in the Louis J. The 2013 Boston Pops season, May 8-June 15, under the direction of Keith Lockhart, will present a season-long tribute to the world of movie music, along with programs featuring a wide variety of American musical styles, including jazz, bluegrass, country, gospel, pop, classic standards from the 50s and 60s, and show-stopping songs of Broadway and the American Songbook. For the programs focusing on the season theme, 'Best of Hollywood Film Music,' audiences will hear their favorite music from classic movies and today's popular soundtracks performed live by the Boston Pops, while the accompanying movie clips are projected onto a giant screen suspended above the orchestra. The World Premiere new musical PARADISE, is extending through May 4th, 2013, at Ruskin Group Theatre, 3000 Airport Avenue, Santa Monica, Calif. The run will take a hiatus from March 31st - April 12th, no performance on April 28th.
