When circumstances put them together on a TV show called 'The Kitchen Witches', the insults are flung harder than the food! Dolly's son, who is also the TV show's producer, tries to keep them on track, but it's a losing battle - especially when the show becomes a ratings smash!

"The Blade of Jealousy," a play adapted by playwright Henry Ong from Tirso De Molina's "Jealous of Herself," will receive a staged reading at The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble.  Melchor falls in love with a mysterious veiled lady in a cathedral, simply from a glimpse of her hand. When he meets Magadelena, he is less enamored, not realizing that Magadelena and the veiled lady are one and the same person. A madcap comedy of disguise and deception ensues.

For the fifth production in their 45th anniversary summer season, Cortland Repertory Theatre will present the piping hot comedy "The Kitchen Witches", written by Caroline Smith. 

The Rite Aid Foundation's KidCents program announced today a $25,000 donation to the Downtown Boxing Gym Youth Program, a Detroit-based nonprofit that empowers Detroit youth to be positive and productive members of society through education, athletics, mentorship and intervention.

The Houston Symphony and Principal POPS Conductor Michael Krajewski will be presenting the world premiere of The Paintjam Concert Experience this weekend, May 22-24 at Jones Hall.

HOUSTON (May 15, 2015) – The Houston Symphony and Principal POPS Conductor Michael Krajewski will be presenting the world premiere of The Paintjam Concert Experience on May 22-24 at Jones Hall.

The program features internationally-acclaimed Houston-based speed painter, Dan Dunn, as he brings music to life in a highly visual and spontaneous presentation. Using paint, sand, glass and canvas, Dan choreographs his theatrical performances to music at astonishing speed. On May 22, 23 and 24, Dan is expected to create eight works of art inspired by the sounds of the orchestra featuring songs like Tyzik's The Great Westerns Suite, Bohemian Rhapsody, music from Gladiator, John Lennon's Imagine, selections from Ravel's Mother Goose, and more. Additionally, one lucky audience member will be selected at random to participate in an on-stage activity with Dan.
