Horse Head Demolishes Staged Reading Conventions

Horse Head Theatre Co. (HH) is proud to continue the 9th Season with a free staged reading of ADVANCE MAN by Abe Koogler at Comedy Sportz (2201 Preston St., Houston 77003) on Monday October 8, 2018 at 8pm, directed by Rachael Logue. Featuring a cast of eleven actors; modern dancers from Frame Dance, choreographed by Lydia Hance; live original music and foley sound by Alli Villines (Horse Head's We're Gonna Die); and live lighting by J. Mitchell Cronin; Horse Head continues their 2018 experiment for what a staged reading could be.

Geva Theatre Center presents The Marvelous Wonderettes, an award-winning, musical trip down memory lane. Written and created by Roger Bean with musical arrangements by Brian William Barker, orchestrations by Michael Borth and vocal arrangements by Roger Bean and Brian William Barker, The Marvelous Wonderettes is directed by Melissa Rain Anderson with musical direction by Don Kot. The Marvelous Wonderettes will be performed in the Fielding Stage from December 8 to December 24.

You can feel the standing ovation building the second they start working their way through 30 hit songs that the audience sings along with gleefully. I saw the production the second weekend, and already audience members were proclaiming to others 'This is my THIRD time!'
