FAR FROM HEAVEN Now Available for Licensing Through R&H Theatricals

The moving and heart-wrenching musical FAR FROM HEAVEN is now available for Professional Theatrical licensing from R&H Theatricals, and its score will be published by Imagem Music, each a division of the Imagem Music Group. Based on Todd Haynes' multi award-winning 2002 film starring Julianne Moore, the musical features music by Tony Award nominee Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens), lyrics by Tony Award nominee Michael Korie (Grey Gardens), and a book by Tony winner Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out).

R&H Theatricals Releases Shortened Student Version of THE SOUND OF MUSIC

R&H Theatricals, a division of Rodgers & Hammerstein has released a student version of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, it was announced today by Rodgers & Hammerstein president Ted Chapin. This new theatrical property is part of R&H's Getting to Know Collection. Applications are being accepted now, with materials shipping in February for customers in the USA and Canada and at a later date for other countries around the world. GIANT to be Licensed Through R&H Theatricals

Ghostlight Records will release the Original Cast Recording of the acclaimed epic musical GIANTonline and in stores on May 21, 2013. Performance rights for GIANT will be licensed through R&H Theatricals, a division of Rodgers & Hammerstein, an Imagem Company. Applause Books to Publish CARRIE This Spring

September 25, 2012 is the launch of both the premiere cast recording and the licensing rights by R&H Theatricals of Carrie the Musical. On that Tuesday, the cast (along with the creators) will gather at Barnes and Noble on 86th Street in New York City at 5pm to perform songs from the musical and to autograph the album. Based on Stephen King's best-selling novel, CARRIE features music by Academy Award winner Michael Gore (Fame, Terms of Endearment), lyrics by Academy Award winner Dean Pitchford (Fame, Footloose), and a book by Lawrence D. Rights Requests Explode for THE SOUND OF MUSIC

After seeing THE SOUND OF MUSIC *everywhere* during the month of October including THE SOUND OF MUSIC Sing-Along Movie Theater Event in over 500 theaters around the US, the Dove Commercial using the song 'My Favorite Things' with Lea Michele and Julie Andrews, the 45th anniversary Blu-ray and Soundtrack Release of THE SOUND OF MUSIC on November 2nd and the highly anticipated and publicized Cast Reunion on OPRAH, on October 28th BroadwayWorld.com wanted to know what the effect had been on rights requests for the show, which are handled by RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN. So, how has it's done? A reps tells us that 'R&H Theatricals has seen Applications for THE SOUND OF MUSIC more than quadruple during the month of October.'
