This evening, the Ellis Island Honors Society (EIHS) hosted the 32nd annual Ellis Island Medals of Honor Ceremony on Ellis Island where over one hundred medalists were recognized for their leadership and service within their communities and professions while exemplifying the values of the American way of life. In addition to the star-studded list of medalists, artist Tony Shafrazi, Fire and Fury author Michael Wolff and Victoria Floethe joined in celebration on Ellis Island.

The rapid rise of new Reviver Records artist Tenille Arts through the Country music ranks is being felt both in Canada and the U.S., as she took home all five awards for which she was nominated from the Saskatchewan Country Music Association Saturday night.

After a successful fan funding campaign, John MOuse releases his fifth album 'Replica Figures' out on Keep Me In Your Heart records on the 19th of February 2018.   For 'Replica Figures' John returns to work with original band member Sweet Baboo. It's been 15 years since the two worked under John's previous moniker JT Mouse and the result is a touching album with glimpses of John's black humour, which has been a signature throughout his career.   

The Board of Trustees of the Morris Museum announced that it has recently elected a new member:  Sassona Norton.  In making the announcement, Gerri Horn, the Board's Chairman, said: The Trustees of the Morris Museum are honored to welcome Sassona to the Board.  She is an internationally recognized voice in the art world, an artist of major consequence, and a spirited advocate for artistic and cultural endeavors.'

Production images are today released for Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol at Windsor Castle. Staged in the Castle's magnificent State Apartments, the production will run until 4 January. Check out the photos below!

This December, for the first time, an immersive Christmas performance will be staged in the magnificent State Apartments at Windsor Castle. Presented by theatre company Watch Your Head, the family-friendly evening performances of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol will take place in the Castle's two largest rooms, where the young Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret performed Christmas pantomimes during the Second World War.

Kicking off on November 23, 2017 in Saskatoon and culminating in Toronto on December 20, 2017, NEW CONSTELLATIONS is a nation(s)wide tour of music and arts, featuring special guest appearances by an interstellar lineup of Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists coming together for the first time. The tour builds on an increasing national interest in Indigenous music: from three of the last four Polaris Music Prize winners being Indigenous women (Lido Pimienta, Tanya Tagaq, and Buffy Sainte-Marie), to the success of Gord Downie's Secret Path project, to A Tribe Called Red's MMVA win for Video of the Year, Indigenous artists and stories are taking the spotlight as they never have before. NEW CONSTELLATIONS offers an unprecedented celebration of the Indigenous Next Wave.
