Judith Light, Rachel Griffiths Join Cast of OTHER DESERT CITIES

Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Stockard Channing, Rachel Griffiths, Stacy Keach, Judith Light and Thomas Sadoski will star in its Broadway production of Jon Robin Baitz's critically acclaimed new play OTHER DESERT CITIES this fall. The production, to be directed by Joe Mantello, begins performances Wednesday evening, October 12 and opens on Thursday, November 3 at the Booth Theater (222 West 45 Street).

PTP/NYC Presents Anniversary Event 25 ON 25, 7/25

PTP/NYC, formerly known as The Potomac Theatre Project, in association with Middlebury College, presents '25 on 25', a special 25th Anniversary celebration featuring the work of Middlebury College artists. '25 on 25' takes place on Monday, July 25 at The Atlantic Stage 2, located at 330 West 16th Street between 8th & 9th Avenues in New York City. '25 on 25' begins at 1pm and runs until 11pm, and features 10 hours of readings, presentations and panel discussions of works written, directed and performed by Middlebury artists. Talkbacks with company members will follow each performance. The event is free of charge and open to the public. No reservations are required. On Thursday, July 21, and Thursday, August 4 audience members at the new, Tony Award Nominated Broadway musical CATCH ME IF YOU CAN will get the chance to chat up the young star Aaron Tveit, who stars as Frank Abagnale, Jr. Immediately following the 7pm performance, Mr. Tveit will host an on stage post-show talk back and Q&A. According to the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Shakespeare Theater has just announced casting for its upcoming production of Follies, which will open October 4 on Navy Pier. Starring in the Chicago production, directed by Gary Griffin, are Hollis Resnik as Carlotta, Brent Barrett as Benjamin, Caroline O'Connor as Phyllis, Robert Petkoff as Buddy and Susan Moniz as Sally.

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR Replaces FINDING NEVERLAND at La Jolla this Fall; Is Broadway Next?

La Jolla Playhouse has announced that the acclaimed Stratford Shakespeare Festival production of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar, lyrics by Tim Rice, music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, directed by Playhouse Director Emeritus and Stratford Shakespeare Festival Artistic Director Des McAnuff, will replace the previously-announced musical Finding Neverland. This thrilling revival will run in the Mandell Weiss Theatre November 18 - December 31, 2011.
