The Fine Arts Center's Theatre Company kicks off its 2011-2012 season with Stephen Sondheim's groundbreaking American musical, Assassins, Sept. 29 - Oct. 23 in the SaG?Ji Theatre.

Yale Repertory Theatre (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Victoria Nolan, Managing Director) presents two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Sarah Ruhl's new version of Anton Chekhov's THREE SISTERS, based on a literal translation by Elise Thoron with Natalya Paramonova and Kristin Johnsen-Neshati, directed by Les Waters.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) presents the New York premiere of COMPLETENESS, a new play by Itamar Moses (The Four of Us, Bach at Leipzig) and directed by Obie Award winner Pam MacKinnon (Clybourne Park at PH, The Four of Us, Occupant, Peter and Jerry).

This October, the Tony Award-winning Berkeley Repertory Theatre once again introduces a new script for the American theatre with the world premiere of How to Write a New Book for the Bible.

Full casting has been announced for the upcoming national tour of THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a new musical based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams. Tickets for the Miami premiere at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County will go on sale to Arsht Center members on August 15 and to the general public on August 22, as announced by the Arsht Center and Broadway Across America.

Freud's Last Session, the award-winning, Off-Broadway hit play by Mark St. Germain (suggested by The Question of God by Dr. Armand M. Nicholi, Jr.), will debut at the Century Theatre Wednesday, Sept. 7 - Nov. 20 with 10 weeks of thought-provoking performances.

Playwrights Horizons and 92YTribeca have announced that they will present a panel discussion previewing the theater company's new season on Monday evening, September 12 at 7:30 PM at 92YTribeca (200 Hudson Street). Moderated by The New Yorker culture writer Michael Schulman, joined by Playwrights Horizons Artistic Director Tim Sanford, the panel discussion will feature all six writers from the theater company's 2011/2012 Season.

The Revolve Productions presents 'Elysian Fields' by Chris Phillips at The Kraine Theater, 85 East 4th Street (bet Bowery & 2nd Ave - Venue # 11).

Immediate Theatre is proud to announce the company's return to the city's theatre scene with the Chicago premiere of Adam Bock's touching and hilarious Five Flights, November 10 - December 18, at Red Tape Theatre, 621 W. Stephen Byrd and Alia Jones have announced that the role of 'Stella' will be played by two-time Tony Nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega and the role of 'Mitch' will be played by Wood Harris, in the upcoming Broadway production of A Streetcar Named Desire directed by Emily Mann. They will join Blair Underwood as 'Stanley' and Nicole Ari Parker as 'Blanche'. This production is slated to hit the boards, Spring, 2012. Theatre is TBA.

Co-Op Theatre East and Project Girl Performance Collective debuts Ten Years Later, a cutting-edge, ensemble-devised play, created by youth between the ages of 9 and 23. The young cast explores what it means to come of age in a post-9/11 society, living in the shadow of Twin Towers that most of them have never seen. 'My first view of the Manhattan skyline was without the towers,' said cast member Emily Rupp. 'When I first saw it, I tried to imagine what it could have looked like. It was like putting together a puzzle.' These youth grew-up in a world where terrorism, fundamentalism, orange alerts, airport security, subway sniffing dogs and tea party patriotism are the norm.

Suffolk University and Boston Playwrights' Theatre present Robert Brustein's Mortal Terror, directed by Daniela Varon from September 15 through October 2 at the Modern Theatre at Suffolk University, 525 Washington Street, Boston.

The drama from Los Angeles comes to NYC from sold out performances and acclaim at the Celebration Theatre. It is 1hr 40 mins.
