The curtain will rise on the 2015 performing arts season in Philadelphia soon, and budget-conscious theater and music lovers have reason to rejoice thanks to the many low-cost tickets options available to them. The award-winning Wilma Theatre introduces its new WynTix program, which offers tickets to all productions for just $25 each. At the Curtis Institute of Music, up-and-coming classical music stars deliver free performances three nights a week. And each Thursday, the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance continues to send out its popular FunSavers email, loaded with half-price tickets for the coming week's shows and exhibitions.

A great, big Broadway season is on its way, with fourteen productions already slated to open in the next few months. With several weeks until the craziness begins, there is still plenty of time to catch up on what's been going on at Broadway's already occupied theaters . Directed by Maria Mileaf, the cast features K.O. DelMarcelle, Tom McCarthy, Genevieve Perrier, Steven Rishard, and Matteo J. Scammell.

Funny Big Brother Productions presents MANish BOY, written & performed by RALPH HARRIS, as part of the 2014 New York International Fringe Festival/Fringe NYC. Nominated for the NAACP Theater Award for 'Best One Person Play,' MANish BOY is directed by Oz Scott with dramaturgy by Stacey McClain.

Cape May's own and Philadelphia favorite, Jeff Coon, is co?creating and hosting three unique, cabaret?style variety shows for shore audiences at the Cape May Convention Hall this summer. These shows titled, An Evening at the Cape May Summer Club, are being co?created with Ree Carney Dunphy. Dunphy is known for assisting in creating and operating Carney's, the legendary pub on the University of Philadelphia's campus, and the famous Carney's Restaurant and Bar in Cape May, New Jersey. In addition, Dunphy plays a pivotal role with the American Cancer Society and is a co?creator of the black tie event, the BasketBall, one of Philadelphia's premiere social events.

Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts today announced that playwright Kimber Lee will be the 2014-15 Aetna New Voices Fellow at Hartford Stage.

The production, which runs from July 22th through July 24th at the Chester Town Hall in Chester, MA, will feature CTC favorite Jennifer Rohn in her sixth CTC appearance.

Playwrights Horizons has announced initial casting for its upcoming 2014/2015 Season. The announcement includes casting for the first two shows of the season: initial casting for BOOTYCANDY, the New York premiere of a new play written and directed by Obie Award winner Robert O'Hara (In the Continuum, Antebellum, Insurrection: Holding History); and initial casting for GRAND CONCOURSE, the World Premiere of a new play by playwright and two-time Obie Award-winning actress Heidi Schreck (There Are No More Big Secrets, Creature), directed by Kip Fagan (The Revisionist, Asuncion).

Bay Street Theater has announced the launch of The Bay Street Shakespeare Initiative with the presentation of two outdoor staged readings of THE TEMPEST, starring Tony Award winner John Glover as Prospero, on August 16 and 17. This one-man show tackles 226 years of American constitutional calamities, offering Quinn's satiric take on our national character, from predator drones to the Kardashians.

JEWISH PLAYS PROJECT has announced the workshop production of G-D'S HONEST TRUTH by Renee Calarco, directed by and Artistic Director David Winitsky, as part of OPEN: The Festival of New Jewish Theatre. G-D'S HONEST TRUTH marks the culmination of this year's festival which included a special presentation of True Bible Studies by Robert Askins and readings of new plays by Ben Gassman, Tom Block, M.J. Kaufman, Lenelle Moise and Lila Feinberg.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Whitney Bashor Live at 54 Below tonight, June 26, 2014. Bashor starred on Broadway this season as Marian/Chiara in The Bridges of Madison County, singing Jason Robert Brown's folk-inspired 'Another Life'. Bashor's solo concert debut will showcase wide-ranging vocals, as she explores influences of rock and roll, R&B, folk classics, country and contemporary Broadway standards.
