THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS to Open at London Palladium in June 2017

Following a highly-acclaimed pre-West End engagement, producer Jamie Hendry announced this morning that the major new musical THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS will open in the West End at the world-famous London Palladium. Previewing from 17 June 2017, the production will open on 29 June 2017.

Production images have been released today for the major new musical THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS by Academy Award-winning screenwriter and Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes and Olivier Award-winning composer and lyricist duo George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. The production is currently playing at Theatre Royal Plymouth until 22 October followed by engagements at The Lowry in Salford and Mayflower Theatre in Southampton, prior to opening in London's West End.

David Birrell's extensive stage work ranges from An Enemy of the People at Octagon Theatre, Bolton, to Spamalot in the West End, as well as several years with the RSC. He's currently playing Badger in the highly anticipated new musical version of The Wind in the Willows, which features a book by Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowees and an original score by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. The production begins previews at Theatre Royal, Plymouth on 8 October.

Rehearsals have begun for the highly anticipated major new musical theatre adaptation of THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS, created by Julian Fellowes, George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. It was announced today that Rebel Wilson will play Miss Adelaide in the West End production of GUYS AND DOLLS. The Australian actress joins the show at the Phoenix Theatre on June 28 for a strictly limited run, finishing on August 21. Guys and Dolls has also announced the opening of a new booking period, with tickets now available until January 7, 2017.
Nigel Lindsay Cast as Nathan Detroit in GUYS AND DOLLS at Phoenix Theatre

It has been officially announced today that Nigel Lindsay will join the West End cast of GUYS AND DOLLS for a limited time, playing Nathan Detroit in the Phoenix Theatre production May 26-June 26. He takes over from Richard Kind, whose last performance is May 22. Lindsay last played the role in the West End run of Michael Grandage's 2005 Donmar Warehouse production.

The highly-anticipated major new musical theatre adaptation of THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS will hold open auditions this month, ahead of its world premiere in Autumn 2016. Auditions will be held at The Lowry in Salford on 22nd Apriland at Rambert in London on 23rd April. Adapted for the stage by Julian Fellowes, George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS will open at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth from 8th October 2016, followed by The Lowry in Salford and Mayflower Theatre in Southampton.

The fifth longest-running play in the West End, The 39 Steps is currently being performed country-wide as part of its tenth anniversary tour. This multiple award-winning comedy was originally adapted by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon from Alfred Hitchcock's 1935 film of the same name for a cast of only four people. It had humble beginnings and played to small audiences in village halls across the North of England. Some ten years later, Patrick Barlow rewrote the script whilst keeping the intimate nature and genius simplicity already found. It is this version, albeit with different directors in different venues, that has had great success.

39 STEPS celebrated its final performance last night, January 3rd, at the Union Square Theatre, after having played 14 previews and 303 regular performances. Cast member Robert Petkoff took a photo of the closing night audience, who donned red noses for the occasion. More than 61,000 people saw 39 STEPS during this run, which brought over 61,000 nosies into the world. Check it out below!
