New York City Ballet Launches Art Series

During the 2013 winter season, New York City Ballet will launch a new initiative called the New York City Ballet Art Series. The series will feature annual collaborations with contemporary visual artists who will create original works inspired by NYCB that will be exhibited at the Company's home at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center.

The celebrated actor had a plethora of interesting and scholarly items to discuss about SHOW BOAT, and the character of Cap'n Andy. New York City Ballet announced today that the Company will present a World Premiere by NYCB dancer and choreographer Justin Peck as part of the Company's annual New Combinations Evening on Friday, January 31, 2013. After five years of ongoing renovations, the popular Upper West Side performance space the Triad Theater (158 West 72nd Street) officially re-launches today as STAGE 72 as a part of the New York Comedy Festival, which will include performances and appearances by Susie Essman, Meredith Vieira, two special editions of Celebrity Autobiography featuring Janeane Garofalo, Tony Danza, Mario Cantone, SNL alum Rachel Dratch, and more.
