Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey Announces 2018 Season

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey announces its 56th season lineup after the great success of its 2017 season that featured the Northeast debut of the hit Shakespeare in Love, as well as a number of productions that were praised by The Star-Ledger and NJ Arts in their 'Top Ten' listings. The Theatre's 2018 slogan is 'Comic Relief' and the company will present six shows on its Main Stage at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre and one summer production on the Outdoor Stage. The 2018 season will include works by Shakespeare, Moliere, Goldoni, and Noel Coward; additionally, the Theatre will present two plays never seen before on the STNJ stage by British playwright Brandon Thomas and American Pulitzer Prize-winner Sam Shepard.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey announces its 2017 lineup after completing an immensely successful 2016 season that was repeatedly featured in "Top Ten Productions of 2016" listings, such as The Star-Ledger, The Wall Street Journal, and NJ Arts. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will be available through the month of October when The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, in partnership with Drew University, presents a "double-bill" experience for students and adults. From October 6th - 30th, a single copy of the original First Folio, one of the world's most valuable, rare and influential books will be on public display at Drew University's Mead Hall. The renowned Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington D.C. launched an historic tour of the book in early 2016 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death.
