Rylance Replaces Brier In Complicite's Revival Of Beckett's ENDGAME, Previews 2 Oct, Opens 15 Oct

Olivier and Tony Award-winning actor Mark Rylance joins the company of Simon McBurney's production of Endgame as Hamm, taking over the role from Richard Briers. Simon McBurney will now play the role of Clov for the duration of the run. Rylance and McBurney will be joined by Miriam Margolyes as previously announced, and Tom Hickey as Nagg. To facilitate the cast changes, the production will now open on 15 October, with previews from 2 October, and run until 5 December.

Theatre Out, Orange County's gay and lesbian theatre, will present HAPPY ENDINGS ARE EXTRA as its next production, with performances starting October 1 and continues through October 25. This provocative story of love and betrayal unravels as one man comes to terms with the life he's leading and the one he left behind in a fascinating study of emotions that illustrates how intertwined the lives of two strangers can quickly become. This dark drama from playwright Ashraf Johaardien is rooted in the culture of South Africa's red light district and was inspired by the 2003 massacre of six rent boys. (October 1 - 25, 2009)

David Leveaux will direct a cast including Samantha Bond, Nancy Carroll, Jessie Cave, Neil Pearson, Dan Stevens and Ed Stoppard in a new production of Tom Stoppard's multi award-winning play Arcadia. Previewing at the Duke of York's Theatre from 27 May, with press night on 11 June, Arcadia is currently booking until 12 September 2009. Set designs are by Hildegard Bechtler, costume design is by Amy Roberts, lighting is by Paul Anderson and sound is by Simon Baker. Arcadia will be presented in the West End by Sonia Friedman Productions, Robert G. Bartner and Roger Berlind.

ALL MY SONS Completes Limited Run 1/11

Arthur Miller's ALL MY SONS starring John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest, Patrick Wilson and Katie Holmes will end its limited engagement as scheduled on Sunday January 11. Directed by Simon McBurney, the hit production recouped its capitalization in December, and was named to numerous Top Ten lists for 2008.
