This is how I'd start an open letter to Megan Mullally, the actress who, according to all published reports, is to blame for the sudden cancellation of the Roundabout Theatre's Lips Together, Teeth Apart. To date, she hasn't made any comment about her sudden exodus.

The New York Times is reporting that the musical Everyday Rapture, based on actress Sherie ReneScott's journey with religion, theater, and fame, will replace Terrence McNally's Lips Together, Teeth Apart at the Roundabout Theatre Company. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Lips Tgether has been indefinitely postponed following the sudden departure of Megan Mullally from this four-person ensemble comedy over disagreements with director Joe Mantello. The show was to open on April 29, 2010.

Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Lips Together, Teeth Apart will now be postponed entirely following the sudden departure of Megan Mullally from this four-person ensemble comedy.
Roundabout's Artistic Director Todd Haimes said in a release that 'We could not find a way to maintain the production schedule under these circumstances. We are now exploring options to produce a show for our subscribers as soon as possible.'

Longtime collaborators James Lapine and John Weidman announced the renaming of Henry Miller's Theatre to the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. The renaming of the theatre is dedicated to Stephen Sondheim, the greatest and best known artist in American musical theatre on his 80th birthday. The announcement was made at the curtain call following Roundabout Theatre Company's gala performance of the new Broadway musical Sondheim on Sondheim.

Broadway vet Paul Rudd will be teaming up with Zach Galifianakis yet again for the upcoming comedy 'Will,' which Perez Hilton summarizes as centering around 'Rudd whose life and destiny is being written by a scribe in Heaven played by Galifianakis. But one day the scribe stops writing and it's up to Rudd to go on about his day on his own.'
