The longest running play in NYC history, PERFECT CRIME will celebrate its 36th Anniversary on Monday, April 18th in the Anne Bernstein Theater at The Theater Center Theater Center.

Tor Hillhouse has joined the cast of Off-Broadway's PERFECT CRIME, by stepping into the role of Detective James Asher, stepping in for Michael Halling through February 19th.

Perfect Crime, the longest running play in NYC history, will celebrate its 35th anniversary off-Broadway on Monday, April 18th in the Anne Bernstein Theater at The Theater Center.

Performances of Off-Broadway's PERFECT CRIME and THE OFFICE: A MUSICAL PARODY have come to an immediate halt due to a real-life perfect crime: theft of the theater's copper pipes, which supply water and heat to the entire Theater Center (located at 210 West 50th Street) in which both shows perform.

The Perfect Crime company also features David Butler as W. Harrison Brent, Charles Geyer as Lionel McAuley, Catherine Russell as Margaret Brent, Patrick Robustelli on video as David Breuer as well as Don Noble, Andrea Leigh (ASM) and Louis Crocco (PSM). 

Just in time for the Halloween season, the long-running Off-Broadway whodunit PERFECT CRIME, will be staging PERFECT CRIME THE EXHIBIT: INFAMOUS UNSOLVED MURDERS October 1st through October 31stwithin the 4thfloor lobby of the Anne Bernstein Theatre at The Theater Center, 1627 Broadway. Executive-Producer Armand Hyatt today announced that two Emmy-nominated and beloved soap stars are joining the cast of Off-Broadway's longest running play, PERFECT CRIME this month, celebrating the record-breaking murder mystery as it enters its historic 33rd year of performances. Both Robert Newman and Grant Aleksander of GUIDING LIGHT fame will be taking on the role of Detective James Ascher in the classic whodunit that continues its run in the Anne L. Bernstein Theater at The Theater Center. Mr. Newman will perform in the role now through May 8th and May 24th - June 16th and Mr. Aleksander will perform in the role May 10th - May 22nd and June 17th - June 30th. Emmy Nominated actor Grant Aleksander, best known for his role as Philip Spaulding on Guiding Light is replacing two other daytime drama legends Robert Newman (Guiding Light) and Richard Shoberg (All My Children), in Off Broadway's longest running play, Perfect Crime. Mr. Aleksander is returning to the role of Detective Asher (a role he took on this past Summer) and begins performances tonight, January 14, 2019, for two weeks only - through January 28.

Steve Blanchard, well known as Broadway's longest running Beast in Disney's Beauty and the Beast has joined the cast of Off-Broadway's longest running play, PERFECT CRIME. Mr. Blanchard is already playing Detective Ascher, replacing Richard Shoberg in the role.

Robert Newman, best known for his 28 year run as Joshua Lewis on the longest running program in broadcasting history, Guiding Light, and more recently on the hit Showtime series Homeland and this upcoming season of the hit Netflix series House of Cards, will be joining the cast of Off-Broadway's longest running play, PERFECT CRIME, replacing Richard Shoberg on Monday, February 20th, in the role of Inspector James Ascher at the Anne L. Bernstein Theater.

Robert Newman, best known for his 28 year run as Joshua Lewis on the longest running program in broadcasting history, Guiding Light, will be returning to the cast of the longest running play in NYC History, Off-Broadway's PERFECT CRIME. Mr. Newman will return to the role of Inspector Asher -March 13 through April 9 - a role he took on in another limited engagement in July of 2014.
