Founder and Artistic Director Denis Brott unveils the Montreal Chamber Music Festival's 24th season. This year, 2019, is the first of a three-year project to celebrate the life of the great Ludwig van Beethoven. Denis Brott comments: As a result of a unique alignment of musical stars in 2020 Ludwig's 250th birthday and the Festival's 25th anniversary I have put together Beethoven Chez Nous! Spanning a period of three years, the Festival programming will be unlike any Montreal has ever heard.

Carnegie Hall announced today that its one-night-only benefit concert performance of Leonard Bernstein's Candide on Wednesday, April 18 at 7:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage will star Paul Appleby in the title role of Candide alongside Erin Morley as Cunegonde, Patricia Racette as the Old Lady,William Burden as Governor, and John Lithgow as Voltaire / Dr. Pangloss. Remaining cast members will be announced at a later date.

Vocalist / bandleader Keith A. Dames (left) and veteran NY-based guitarist Marvin Horne (right) are greeted by Patricia Rampolla (center) of Love Productions Records - the seven-year old LLC headed by Patricia Hall -which produces the popular Monday Night Jazz Series @ Harlem's Farafina Cafe & Lounge. The musicians performed two sets of jazz and blues tunes on Labor Day (Sept. 4th) evening.

French singer Patricia Kaas pays tribute to musical icon Edith Piaf with 'Kaas Sings Piaf,' a world tour to mark the 50th Anniversary of Piaf's death. Kaas' new project, Kaas Chante Piaf, focuses on 21 of Piaf's greatest iconic titles. With musical arrangements by composer Abel Korzeniowski (who has worked with Madonna among others) and an innovative stage design, this unique concert will also include a video installation with rare images of Piaf, one of France's greatest international stars of all time. 'Kaas Sings Piaf' made its U.S. debut at Carnegie Hall in 2012 and returns to Town Hall in New York City tonight, September 21, 2013.
