American Film Institute Announces 2015 AFI European Union Film Showcase Lineup

The American Film Institute (AFI) announces today the complete slate of films for the 2015 edition of its AFI European Union Film Showcase, taking place December 120 at the historic AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. This year's AFI European Union Film Showcase is generously supported by the Delegation of the European Union to the United States as the presenting partner through the EU's Getting to Know Europe grant. Now in its 28th year, the AFI European Union Film Showcase highlights the year's best European filmmaking, featuring a selection of more than 50 films representing all 28 European Union member states, including international film festival award winners, regional box office hits, debut works by promising new talents and many countries' official submissions for the Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award .
Warner Bros. Pictures Acquires Russell Crowe's THE WATER DIVINER

Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that it has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to Academy Award winner Russell Crowe's ('Gladiator') directorial debut, from RatPac Entertainment, 'The Water Diviner,' which the Studio will release in select U.S. theaters on April 24, 2015. The announcement was made by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, and Dan Fellman, President, Domestic Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

H&M threw a huge party in Paris last night to celebrate the upcoming, much anticipated collaboration with Isabel Marant. There were celebrities, there was a disco ball, there was a performance by the Sugarhill Gang and Grandmaster Flash, and most importantly, there was a pop-up shop where international editors and very lucky 'it' people shop the collection before it launches on November 14.

In 1994, Avi Hoffman's Too Jewish? premiered off-off Broadway at the Houseman Theater. After rave reviews and a six-month sold-out engagement, it transferred off-Broadway and had a successful six-month commercial run at the Westside Theater. In 1998, his Too Jewish, Too! opened to great critical acclaim, after which Mr. Hoffman 'vanished' from the New York theatre scene.

Starz brought Miami Beach to Tar Beach with a day-long consumer event featuring 'summer fun' vintage beach wear fashion shows (50s & 60s period designs, bikinis and one pieces), styled by Emmy Award winning costume designer, Carol Ramsey showcasing and inspired by the period series that premieres Friday, June 14th. Fans had a chance to view a classic 1959 convertible, take part in beach blanket bingo and other fun in the sun activities and be served by some of the most handsome cabana boys ever to take Manhattan.
