The 2016 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were handed out last night to recipients in 18 categories, with two special awards and two honorary awards also bestowed. The Lortel Awards were distributed in a ceremony at NYU Skirball Center hosted byZachary Levi, star of Broadway's She Loves Me. This year's event was once again a benefit for The Actors Fund. N'Kenge (Motown: The Musical, Sondheim on Sondheim), returns to Oklahoma City Philharmonic as a featured soloist to perform in the concert "All That Jazz: A Symphonic Celebration of the Duo Kander and Ebb.' The Philharmonic with conductor Joel Levine will take audiences on a musical journey showcasing the musical genius of this Tony Award Winning Duo featuring songs from their hit shows Cabaret, Chicago, Scottsboro boys and more. N'Kenge will be joined by Tony award winner Beth Leavel, Jersey Boys's Kirsten Scott, Phantom of the Opera's Tedd Keegan and Concert Soloist Ron Remke.

Burstein, currently staring as Tevye in the Broadway revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, began his career on Broadway in the early 1990s working mostly as an ensemble member and understudy. After making the decision to turn down work that didn't challenge him artistically, Burstein would go on to become one of the most celebrated leading men of his generation, earning Tony nominations for his work in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, SOUTH PACIFIC, FOLLIES, GOLDEN BOY, and CABARET.

Broadway, film and television star Norm Lewis headlines NJSO POPS programs featuring music from his famous theater roles and album, this weekend, beginning tonight, April 15. It continues through April 17 in Red Bank, Newark and New Brunswick. Lewis -- who replaces previously announced singer Cheyenne Jackson, who was forced to withdraw for scheduling reasons -- has garnered critical and audience acclaim and made history as Broadway's first African-American Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera. Frequent NJSO guest conductor and audience favorite Thomas Wilkins conducts.
