Sarah Jaffe Sets Summer Tour with The Polyphonic Spree

A few short weeks ago, 28-year-old Texas native Sarah Jaffe announced the August 19th release of her third full-length studio album – Don't Disconnect – via Kirtland Records. On the heels of that news, Jaffe is announcing summer tour dates with choral symphonic rock band The Polyphonic Spree. The high profile main support slot is just one of many for Jaffe who has previously shared the stage with Chelsea Wolfe, Norah Jones, Lou Barlow, Blitzen Trapper, New Multitudes, David Gray and Midlake among others. All confirmed dates with The Polyphonic Spree are west of the Mississippi with fall US tour plans in the works that has Jaffe visiting the Midwest and East Coast.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces a distinguished list of music headliners to be presented at the 55th annual Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, a production of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Great Hudson River Revival (Clearwater Festival) on June 21 and 22 in beautiful Croton Point Park, Croton-On-Hudson, NY marks the first event since the passing of its founders, musician and activist Pete Seeger and his wife Toshi Seeger. Clearwater 2014 promises to be a special celebration of the Seeger's and their legacy - hosting many Clearwater friends old and new, many of who will perform special musical tributes during the event.

Four-time Grammy winner and preeminent jazz vocalist Dianne Reeves recently released her first album in five years, Beautiful Life, to rave reviews. Beautiful Life, which made its debut in February of this year, is an emotionally charged volcanic journey covering the spectrum from jazz to soul. Ms. Reeves will share her passion for this album in her one-night performance at Harris Center for the Arts in Folsom June 16.

In celebration of one year since the release of her debut CD entitled 'Except Sometimes' on Concord Records, Molly Ringwald who launched her CD release at Rockwell last year and has since performed over 150 concerts in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and widely across the United States in major Concert Halls, Performing Arts Centers and Jazz Festivals. Back by popular demand Ringwald will perform live in Hollywood for three Tuesdays to include June 17th; July 1st; and July 15th at Rockwell Table & Stage.

Lincoln Center Announces OUT OF DOORS 2014 Summer Festival Lineup; Runs 7/20-8/10

The schedule for this summer's Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival, which runs from July 20 to August 10, was announced today by Bill Bragin, Lincoln Center's Director of Public Programming. Nearly 100 free performances will take place across the plazas of Lincoln Center during three weeks. A special Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger on July 20 will be followed by the official opening concert on July 23 with Larry Harlow's Hommy: A Latin Opera, the landmark work's first performance in 40 years. Richmond, Virginia Join the Richmond Symphony at the Carpenter Theatre at Richmond Center Stage tonight, April 26th at 7pm for a musical journey conducted by Steven Smith, featuring three-time Grammy Award nominated sitar player and composer Anoushka Shankar! This concert is a celebration of the variety of international influences on classical music. Currently, this is Ms. Shankar's only East Coast performance scheduled for spring 2014.
