The Plaza Hotel in New York City hosted guests representing the beauty, media, medical, pharmaceutical and retail industries attended the 2012 Skin Cancer Foundation Gala on October 9. The annual event honored Genentech,PGA TOUR and Lucy Danziger, Editor-in-Chief of SELF Magazine. Honorees received Skin Sense Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievements in skin health, including public education about sun protection and skin cancer prevention.

Classic Stage Company's new production of Anton Chekhov's IVANOV, starring Ethan Hawke, Joely Richardson and Juliet Rylance, and directed by Austin Pendleton, begins previews Wednesday, October 17 at CSC (136 East 13th Street), prior to an official opening Sunday, November 4. IVANOV has extended its run by popular demand through Sunday, December 9. According to Deadline.com, Roman Polanski will bring David Ives' Venus in Fur to the big screen- in French. Emmanuelle Seigner and Louis Garrel are set to star in the roles played by Nina Arianda and Hugh Dancy on Broadway last season.

Asolo Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce that Venus in Fur by David Ives will complete the line-up for its 2012-2013 season. The production will be staged in the Historic Asolo Theater April 5-28, 2013 with preview performances April 3th and 4th.

Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) has launched The Saturday Arts Program (SAP), a training ground for passionate young performers. Classes will take place weekly from September 22nd - November 17th at the Bucks County Playhouse, New Hope Solebury High School, and the Solebury School.

Tony Award-winner Nina Arianda will play Italian film star Giulietta Masina, wife of visionary filmmaker Federico Fellini, in Fellini Black and White produced by Andrew Lazar (Jonah Hex, I Love You Phillip Morris). The film, written and directed by Henry Bromell (consulting producer and writer of Showtime's Golden Globe Award-winning series Homeland) is set to begin production in early 2013. Arianda joins a cast that includes Oscar-nominees William H. Macy, Terrence Howard, Emmy and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage, and Brazilian breakout star Wagner Maura who will play the title role of the iconic director.
