Hudson Valley Dance Festival, a world-class dance experience in the heart of Catskill, NY, has added Kyle Abraham/Abraham.In.Motion and Emily LeCrone Dance to the already impressive list of accomplished troupes performing at this year's festival. The festival, produced by and benefiting Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, returns Saturday, October 8, 2016, to the Historic Catskill Point. To meet growing demand, this year's Hudson Valley Dance Festival (#hvdance) will feature performances at 2 pm and at 5 pm. The fourth edition of the festival will again transform the 115-year-old wooden warehouse at Catskill Point into a modern-day dance venue, complete with a stage and raised seating for 300.

Hudson Valley Dance Festival, a world-class dance experience in the heart of Catskill, NY, will feature some of the most sought-after contemporary dance companies in the country when it returns Saturday, October 8, 2016, to the Historic Catskill Point. The New York Musical Festival (NYMF), previously known as The New York Musical Theatre Festival, announced today the winners of the 2016 NYMF Awards for Excellence, which were awarded on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 42West NY (514 W. 42nd Street). The new musical, THE LAST WORD will be presented at the Duke on 42nd Street, a NEW 42ND STREET project (229 W 42nd St) . THE LAST WORD is written by Brett Sullivan (Billy Elliot Live Film Director) and will be directed by Michael Bello (Doctor Zhivago), choreography by Nick Kenkel(Gotta Dance, Legally Blonde) and Musical Supervisor is Conrad Helfrich (Dirty Dancing). The 26th annual edition of BROADWAY BARES goes live onstage at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom for two ratings-raising shows at 9:30 pm and midnight.

While the Tony Awards dedicated Sunday night's broadcast to the victim's of the Orlando shooting, others have been sending support and voicing concern and outrage over the horrible incident. In the wake of the events, Broadway Cares has just announced that extra security measures will be in place for next week's Broadway Bares:

Chad Kimball will share his Tony Award predictions, along with our Hosts, as well as his Broadway journey to the big night.  Mr. Kimball will also give his personal insight to thriving in 'show biz' by profiling his secondary, cross-over ambitions with an honest look at the challenges and triumphs involved.

The hottest burlesque show in town, Broadway Bares will officially open the summer season on Fire Island with another seductive edition of Broadway Bares Fire Island. The sexy men and women of Broadway Bares will return June 4, 2016, to Fire Island Pines, NY, for two performances, produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The show will be performed at 7 pm and 9 pm at Whyte Hall's Brandon Fradd Theater.
