Soho Rep. and Ars Nova present the New York premiere of Cesar Alvarez's FUTURITY, opening tonight, October 20, and running through November 15, 2015. Directed by Soho Rep. Artistic Director Sarah Benson, FUTURITY is a new, avant-Americana musical with music by Alvarez and The Lisps, and lyrics and book by Alvarez. The production, which features 13 actor-musicians, is presented at the Connelly Theater (220 E. 4th St.) and in association with Carole Shorenstein Hays.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have announced complete casting for Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of Important Hats of the Twentieth Century, the new comedy by Emmy Award nominee Nick Jones, directed by Tony Award nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel.

The New Group has announced complete casting for the world premiere of STEVE, a new play by Mark Gerrard.  Directed by Cynthia Nixon, this production features Ashlie Atkinson and Francisco Pryor Garat, and as announced, Mario Cantone, Jerry Dixon, Malcolm Gets and Matt McGrath. A limited Off-Broadway engagement plays November 3 - December 27 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street), with Official Opening Night set for Wednesday, November 18.

Nominees for the 2015 LA STAGE Alliance Ovation Awards were announced on Thursday, September 24 on @ This Stage Magazine [ThisStage.la]. This year's Ovation Awards ceremony will take place Monday, November 9 at the Ahmanson Theatre at The Music Center. The curtain will rise at7:30pm.

Ars Nova presents THE ARS NOVA REVOLUTION, celebrating Ars Nova All Stars Jill Furman, Thomas Kail and Lin-Manuel Miranda, from Freestyle Love Supreme (Ars Nova, 2004) to HAMILTON (Broadway, 2015). Los Angeles-based actress Rachel Keller is making her New York premiere as 'Olga' in the production of Marius von Mayenburg's FIREFACE this month at The Brick. The production runs tonight, August 26, through September 5, 2015, directed by Benjamin Viertel. 

Under the leadership of Artistic Director Sarah Benson and Executive Director Cynthia Flowers, Soho Rep. has continually produced work by bold artists who harness the intimate power of the organization's own 73-seat black box theater, as well as other spaces, to create transformative experiences. Due to a scheduling conflict, Michelle Veintimilla will be replaced as 'Olga' by Los Angeles-based actress Rachel Keller, who is making her New York premiere with the production of Marius von Mayenburg's FIREFACE this August at The Brick. Additionally, Tony Award-winning actor Billy Porter of KINKY BOOTS has signed on to the team as Executive Producer.
