Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's Free Shakespeare On The Common is one of Greater Boston's most beloved traditions. For their 18th annual season, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company is excited to present the comedy The Two Gentlemen of Verona July 6 - 28, 2013. Directed by the company's Artistic Director Steven Maler, The Two Gentlemen of Verona tells the tale of two friends who leave their hometown of Verona to find their happy fortunes in Milan.

Hidden secrets are unearthed and family tensions fly high in Pulitzer Prize nominee Jon Robin Baitz's contemporary family drama Other Desert Cities. Helen Hayes Award winner and former Arena Stage Associate Artistic Director Kyle Donnelly returns to direct the D.C.-area premiere of the show with a cast that features Tony Award nominee and two-time Helen Hayes Award winner Helen Carey (Mary Tyrone in Arena Stage's Long Day's Journey into Night, Broadway's Hedda Gabler) as matriarch Polly Wyeth and two-time Tony Award nominee Larry Bryggman (Broadway's Harvey, CBS's As the World Turns) as patriarch Lyman Wyeth. Rounding out the cast are Emily Donahoe (Broadway's 33 Variations) as daughter Brooke Wyeth, Scott Drummond (Cherry Lane Theatre's A Perfect Future) as son Trip Wyeth and Martha Hackett (Pacific Resident Theatre's Nora) as their aunt Silda Grauman. Other Desert Cities runs April 26-May 26, 2013 in the Fichandler Stage.

National New Play Network Announces 36th Rolling World Premiere: RANCHO MIRAGE by Steven Dietz

The NATIONAL NEW PLAY NETWORK (NNPN), the country's alliance of non-profit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announces its 36th Rolling World Premiere: Steven Dietz's Rancho Mirage will receive four productions through the Network's Continued Life of New Plays Fund in the 2013/14 season. Rancho Mirage will begin its Rolling World Premiere at Olney Theatre Center (Olney, MD, September 26 - October 20, 2013), followed by performances at New Repertory Theatre (Watertown, MA, October 13 - November 3, 2013), Phoenix Theatre (Indianapolis, IN, October 24 - November 24, 2013), and Curious Theatre Company (Denver, CO, October 31 - December 7, 2013).

The NATIONAL NEW PLAY NETWORK (NNPN), the country's alliance of non-profit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announces its 35th Rolling World Premiere: Steve Yockey's Pluto will receive three productions through the Network's Continued Life of New Plays Fund in the 2013/14 season. Pluto will begin its Rolling World Premiere at Actor's Express (Atlanta, GA, November 16 - December 8, 2013), followed by performances at Forum Theatre (Washington, DC, February 20 - March 15, 2014) and Orlando Shakespeare Theatre (Orlando, FL, February 27 - March 23, 2014).
