New Repertory Theatre Announces Premiere of IMAGINING MADOFF, 1/4-26

New Repertory Theatre proudly announces the New England Premiere of IMAGINING MADOFF, January 4 through 26, 2014. Directed by Elaine Vaan Hogue, IMAGINING MADOFF performs in the Black Box Theater at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal Street, in Watertown, MA. Tickets are $36 and may be purchased by calling the box office at 617-923-8487 or online at newrep.org. Student, senior, and group discounts are available. The press performance is Monday, January 6 at 7:30pm.

FST's production of Sophie Tucker: Last of the Red Hot Mamas opens this week at the Walnut Street Theatre. Sophie Tucker: Last of the Red Hot Mamas was developed under the direction of FST Artistic Director Richard Hopkins, with assistance from Kathy Halenda and Jack Fournier. As one of the most successful music revues created and developed at FST, Sophie Tucker has previously been shown to audiences at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Art Station, Centre Stage, New Repertory Theatre, Invisible Theatre, The Irish Classical Theatre and many more. The show now travels to delight audiences at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia.

The NATIONAL NEW PLAY NETWORK (NNPN), the country's alliance of non-profit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announces its 35th Rolling World Premiere: Steve Yockey's Pluto will receive three productions through the Network's Continued Life of New Plays Fund in the 2013/14 season. Pluto will begin its Rolling World Premiere at Actor's Express (Atlanta, GA, today, November 16 - December 8, 2013), followed by performances at Forum Theatre (Washington, DC, February 20 - March 15, 2014) and Orlando Shakespeare Theatre (Orlando, FL, February 27 - March 23, 2014).

Rick Lombardo Assumes New Role of Producing Artistic Director at San Jose Rep

San Jose Repertory Theatre's board of trustees today announced that it has changed the leadership model of the venerable 33-year-old company from a dual CEO structure to a single CEO model. Artistic Director Rick Lombardo, who joined San Jose Rep in 2008, will assume the newly created position of Producing Artistic Director effective immediately. Mr. Lombardo previously held a similar position for 10 years at New Repertory Theatre in Boston.
