Jordan Gelber, Leslie Kritzer & Mitchell Sink to Star in ELF on Broadway! Full Cast Announced!

Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures in association with Unique Features and Jujamcyn Theaters announced today that Jordan Gelber (Avenue Q, All My Sons) will play Broadway's favorite elf, 'Buddy' in the hit holiday musical ELF. He will be joined by Leslie Kritzer (Sondheim on Sondheim, A Catered Affair) as 'Jovie' and Mitchell Sink as 'Michael' in his Broadway debut.

MGM's Roger Birnbaum Steps Down to Return to Producing

Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum today announced that Birnbaum will transition to an exclusive producer role at the studio, while Barber will become the sole Chairman and CEO of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc. Birnbaum will remain in his current offices in MGM's executive suite and will produce and develop new projects exclusively for the company. The announcement marks a return to hands-on producing for Birnbaum.

Wayne Knight Set to Play 'Santa' in Broadway-Bound ELF!

Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures in association with Unique Features and Jujamcyn Theaters announced today that television icon Wayne Knight will star as Santa in the hit musical ELF. Knight, currently starring in TV Land's "The Exes," is perhaps best known to audiences as Jerry Seinfeld's arch nemesis "Newman" on the Emmy Award-winning hit comedy "Seinfeld." Knight's credits also include Jurassic Park, Toy Story 2, Space Jam and "3rd Rock from the Sun," among many others.

New Line Acquires Rights to Stiefvater's THE RAVEN BOYS

Variety reports that New Line Cinema has just acquired the rights to the young adult novel THE RAVEN BOYS, written by Maggie Stiefvater. Akiva Goldsman will produce under a partnership with Safehouse Pictures. There is currently no writer attached to the project.

Theatre Ventures in association with Unique Features announced today that the hit musical ELF will star Tony® Award winner Beth Leavel (Emily), Tony® Award nominee Mark Jacoby (Walter), Valerie Wright (Deb), Adam Heller (Mr. Greenway) and Michael Mandell (Store Manager). Leavel, Jacoby, Wright and Mandell are reprising the roles they originated in the 2010 production of ELF. Additional casting will be announced soon.

Dennis DeYoung, former singer and songwriter of Chicago-based rock group Styx, will perform for one night only at the 2012 Nationwide Insurance Picnic with the Pops on July 14, at the Columbus Bicentennial Pavilion at the Columbus Commons. DeYoung will perform with his five-piece band, guest Broadway vocalists, and and the Columbus Symphony in a unique, symphonic rock experience that combines the impact of a live orchestra with the edge of a rock band, bringing new power and feeling to such classics as "Lady," "Babe," "Come Sail Away," "Mr. Roboto," "Grand Illusion," "Lorelei," "Suite Madame Blue," "Rockin' the Paradise," "Don't Let It End," plus many more including solo works and new music.
