Rock Band KANSAS Sets Concert Date In Worcester

America's preeminent progressive rock band KANSAS will tour select U.S. cities this fall, celebrating the 40th anniversary of their massive hit album “Point of Know Return” and performing the album in its entirety. The tour will showcase more than two hours of classic KANSAS music including hit songs, deep cut, and fan favorites, making a stop at The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts on Saturday, November 17 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale to theatre members Wednesday, March 21 at 10 a.m. and go on sale to the general public Friday, March 23 at 10 a.m.

Neil Young + Promise Of The Real will release PARADOX (Original Music from The Film) on double vinyl and digital on March 23, with the CD to follow onApril 20. PARADOX (Original Music from the Film) features music from Young + POTR and Young with an Orchestra recorded on the MGM Soundstage, Young backed by Jim Keltner, Paul Bushnell and Joe Yankee, and several solo electric guitar passages. All music was recorded spontaneously with no overdubs (with the exception of Joe Yankee, who phoned in his part from Canada) and provides the soundtrack to Paradox, the film.

Neil Young is set to release one of the most sought-after recordings from his vast archives, Roxy – Tonight's The Night Live on three-sided 2LP set exclusively on Record Store Day, April 21st.  This was the first public performance of many of the songs that would make up Young's seminal album Tonight's The Night, which would not be released until June 1975. The album's final track “Walk On” would not appear until the release ofOn The Beach, in July 1974.

Yung Wu, an offshoot of New Jersey-based avant-pop pioneers the Feelies, will be celebrating the re-release of their debut album performing at The Woodland in Maplewood, New Jersey on Friday March 9. The presenter of these concerts is the non-profit organization Rent Party (http://rentpartylive.com/wp/). Started in 2009, Rent Party is a once-a-month live music event at The Woodlands. The proceeds from these shows help fight hunger in our community. Rent Party supports three local food pantries. They built and maintain a large community garden on the front lawn of the South Orange Elks that raises fresh produce for the pantries they support. Rent Party's BackPack Pals program provides a weekend's worth of nutritious food to about 100 food-insecure kids in our schools.
