Visitors included Academy Award winner Whoopi Goldberg, the legendary Bette Midler, Tony Award winners Nathan Lane, Tommy Tune, Dick Latessa and Cady Huffman, Emmy Award winner John Turturro, star of Broadway's Gore Vidal's The Best Man Cybill Shepherd, Dreamgirls and SIde Show composer Henry Krieger, Miss Abigaiil's Guide and 'The Brady Bunch' star Eve Plumb, McArdle's Annie successor Shelley Bruce, and star of the upcoming Broadway production of Rebecca Karen Mason.

Trinity Repertory Company has announced a one-night-only engagement with award-winning television, stage and screen actor Brian Dennehy tonight, July 30 at 7:00pm in Trinity Rep's Dowling Theater. Together onstage with Trinity Rep resident actor Fred Sullivan, Jr., the pair will discuss and perform the work of America's premier playwright Eugene O'Neill.

Comic actor/singer Roger Bart won a Tony for playing Snoopy in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and a SAG Award for portraying George Williams on TV's Desperate Housewives. His versatility has also led to voice over work singing as Hercules in the Disney film of the same name. Bart will reprise his Tony nominated role of Carmen Ghia in The Producers at the Hollywood Bowl today, July 27-July 29. In our chat he talks about The Producers, Mel Brooks roles and other theatrical tidbits.

Travesties of 2012 is the latest and (I think I may say) most perfected iteration of a vaudeville show we have been producing since 1996, called the American Vaudeville Theatre. I am especially excited about the show for several reasons. One: our involvement in NYMF has made it especially easy to attract the very best acts. I can safely say this is the most solid bill of performers I've ever been able to present to the public. This particular conglomeration of amazing humans, taken in aggregate, is a bit jaw-dropping.
