VON USSAR Danceworks Presents 7th Annual DANCE GALLERY FESTIVAL, 10/11-13

VON USSAR danceworks presents the 7th Annual Dance Gallery Festival, featuring original works from emerging and renowned choreographers from around the country in three performance programs on October 11, 12, and 13, 2013 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 W. 55th Street, NYC (at Ninth Avenue). The Dance Gallery Festival will perform onFriday, October 11 at 7:30pm and Sunday, October 13 at 3pm. The Dance Gallery UP Close will perform on Saturday, October 12 at 7:30pm. Level UP will perform on Sunday, October 13 at 7pm. Tickets are $20 ($15 for students with valid ID and seniors) and are available at www.smarttix.com or by phone at 212-868-4444.

New York City Center is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Fall for Dance Festival with a very special season, beginning with two FREE evenings of dance at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, hosted by The Public Theater, on September 16 and 17 (rain date, September 18). The Festival will continue at City Center from September 25 - October 5 with performances by 20 acclaimed dance companies and artists from around the world, including three new works from today's most exciting young choreographers, commissioned by New York City Center in celebration of the tenth anniversary. The Festival's many free pre-show events will include dance lessons and panels by choreographers, artists and dance educators. All tickets are $15 and will go on sale Sunday, September 8 at 11 a.m.

Shanghai Ballet Makes UK Debut with JANE EYRE, Now thru Aug 18

Shanghai Ballet Company is to make its highly anticipated UK debut in August at the London Coliseum with performances of JANE EYRE, an original, innovative ballet production based on Charlotte Bronte's famous novel. Performances will run today, August 14th-18th, choreographed by Patrick de Bana.
