The 10th annual DTLA Film Festival, Oct. 17-21 at Regal L.A. LIVE in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, announced its 2018 Filmmaker Awards. The two big prize winners were the gender and genre bending contemporary ghost story, "Ocatvio Is Dead!," which picked up the Best Picture and the Best Director awards for Sook-Yin Lee, and Collin Schiffli's drama "All Creatures Here Below," which won the Audience Favorite award and captured the Best Actor prizes for Karen Gillan and David Dastmalchian.

Multi-platinum global superstar and legendary music icon Mariah Carey is set to join NBC's four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" as a key advisor for the Season 15 Knockout Rounds beginning Monday, Oct. 29.

These artists join previously announced performers Post Malone featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Carrie Underwood. Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, the “2018 American Music Awards,” the world's largest fan-voted awards show, will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 8:00 p.m. EDT, on ABC.

Sony Crackle, the free streaming network, today announced that the third season of its scripted original drama series, 'StartUp,' will premiere Thursday, November 1 with a sneak peek on Amazon devices through the Sony Crackle app starting Monday, October 22. In ten all-new episodes, friends will be fighting it out for power and will be threatened by what might be the most dangerous criminal organization of all: the U.S. Government.

Lifetime delivers seven movies that fall under the realm of a parent's worst nightmare, tackling topics like mental health, suicide and teen domestic dating violence among others this fall. Starting off with The Bad Seed, the evil that lies within is revealed on September 9th with the disturbing story of a father (Rob Lowe) who discovers his daughter (McKenna Grace) could be hurting the people around her. Patty McCormack also stars.

Each actor is retired or semi-retired ages 55+ and enjoys rehearsing during the day, which then allows the theatre to be available for other rehearsals in the evening of working adults and school children. Past Senior Citizen productions at GCT have been Fiddler On The Roof, Once Upon A Mattress, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and Nunsense. This production is made possible in part by grants from the Cultural Alliance of York County, The Robert C. Hoffman Trust held by the Adams County Community Foundation, and the Adams County Arts Council's Star Grant.

The new movie, 'The Islands' seems to predict the stunning Hawaii volcano eruptions with almost disturbing accuracy. Based on the true story of Chiefess Kapiolani who descended into the active Kilauea volcano in 1821 to demonstrate her new-found faith in Christ and ushered in a new beginning in Hawaii.

The ABC Television Network announces May sweeps programming, airing through May 23, including series finales of 'Once Upon a Time,' airing May 18; and 'The Middle,' which completes its nine-year run with a special one-hour episode on May 22.
