Miki Johnson took Houston audiences by storm when The Catastrophic Theatre premiered her first play AMERICAN FALLS. Now, The Catastrophic Theatre and Miki Johnson are back at it with the riveting and gut wrenching world premiere of her tautly constructed new drama CLEAN/THROUGH. The 60-minute one-act play is a deeply traumatizing experience that leaves audiences profoundly devastated and hopeful all at the same time.

Catastrophic's most ambitious season to date features more plays, more new plays, and more regional premieres of critically acclaimed plays by contemporary playwrights. The six-play season includes two world premieres by resident playwright Miki Johnson, the third installment of our highly popular series of avant-garde classics, Tamarie Cooper's 17th original musical, and Houston premieres by Lisa D'Amour and Will Eno.

The Catastrophic Theatre is pleased to announce the world premiere of The Pine, a new play by the author of past Catastrophic favorites There is a Happiness That Morning Is, Spirits to Enforce, and The Strangerer, Mickle Maher. The Pine opens Friday, September 27 and runs Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 pm through October 19 at The Catastrophic Theatre, 1119 East Fwy, 77002.
