BROADWAY UNLOCKED Announces Updated Performance Lineup For The #giveback Concert

Broadway Unlocked founder Jessica Ryan announced today that the performance lineup for the sixth annual #giveback concert slated for Sunday, May 13 at 7.30pm at WNYC's The Greene Space (44 Charlton Street) has been updated. Along with producers Kelly Weaver and Mike Borges, Broadway Unlocked is bringing Broadway favorites together to perform and raise funds for the Crime Victims Treatment Center, a not-for-profit organization committed to helping people heal from violent crime. The live concert is directed by Nathan Tysen (Tuck Everlasting, Amelie).

Brett Smock and Drew Brody will present an Industry-only reading of their new musical: The Mudge Boy, on November 29th, 2012 at 3pm. The event will feature Donna McKechnie (Irene), James Crichton (Duncan Mudge), Mike Masters (Edgar Mudge), John Arthur Greene (Perry Foley), Jennifer Simard (Emily Foley), Brent Black (Juster Pelkey / Merritt Foley), Lilli Cooper (April), Caitlin Kinnunen (Tonya), Bart Mather (Travis), Jim Schubin (Scotty).This powerful, controversial new work is based on Michael Burke's 2003 film, The Mudge Boy and has been in development for several years. BroadwayWorld.com has learned that the 101 DALMATIONS MUSICAL Tour that has been making its way cross country will close after it's Madison Square Garden engagement on April 18, 2010. The production opens in New York on April 7, 2010. Stops in San Antonio, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, and San Diego had been scheduled through early June thereafter, but will be cancelled, accordingly.

New York City is seeing spots as The 101 Dalmatians Musical comes to The Theater at Madison Square Garden April 7 - April 18, 2010, presented by Purina Dog Chow. To celebrate their arrival to New York City, the stars of the show and five live Dalmatians arrived in true NYC style aboard an FDNY fire truck lead by New York's bravest and also children from the Uniformed Firefighters Association Widows and Children's Fund, part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Yesterday, April 6, BroadwayWorld was on hand to partake in the welcome.

The New York Post recently took a look behind the scenes of the current tour of 101 DALMATIANS, specifically looking at the difficulties of having a cast of 15 dogs. According to the report, the dogs have received their own tour bus and enjoy more luxuries than many of the cast members.
