Preparations are being finalized and excitement is building as the Denver Center Theatre Company prepares to welcome nearly 300 theatre professionals and press representatives from across the nation to Denver and the 2010 Colorado New Play Summit this weekend.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for not for profit professional theatre, is pleased to announce that in 2009, twenty-seven Edgerton Foundation New American Play Awards were granted to theatres around the country.

When he inaugurated The Denver Center Theatre Company's Colorado New Play Summit in 2006, Artistic Director Kent Thompson called the event a 'summit' because of the glorious Rocky Mountains and his goal to build the event into a peak experience... This year's 'Leading Ladies' Penny Fuller and Isabel Keating are set to perform and will be joined by Elysabeth Kleinhans, and celebrity guests Allison Janney, Marian Seldes and Elizabeth Wilson in helping Primary Stages celebrate their 25th Anniversary Season.

Famed performance space Joe's Pub has announced a revised upcoming line up of event in November and early December. Performers include Lauren Abrose, Coleman Domingo, Capathia Jenkins and Louis Rosen, Hair's Caissie Levy, and more. Kelly Joe Phelps who was previously scheduled to perform on 11/14, has pulled out and has been replaced PT Walkley.
