CAP 21 Theatre Company announces a one-week extension of the hit new musical SOUTHERN COMFORT, by Dan Collins (book and lyrics) and Julianne Wick Davis (music), based on Kate Davis' 2001 Sundance award-winning documentary about transgender friends in rural Georgia.

TriArts Sharon Playhouse (Sharon, CT) will present a reading of the new musical Loving Leo Wednesday night, August 10 at 7:30 PM in its Bok Gallery. Admission is $5. and no advance reservation is necessary. The reading is part of their 2011 New Works Readings and Concerts Series, which has included Whiskey Songs (by Joe Iconis) and When We Met (Music/ Lyrics by Julianne Wick Davis, Book by Dan Collins). Artistic Director John Simpkins oversees the summer series.

Jim Caruso presented Broadway and television personality Julie Halston at Birdland (315 West 44th Street, NYC) on Monday, July 11. Her show, Old, New, Borrowed, Blue, is part of the Broadway at Birdland concert series, and combined her usual hysterical observations of life, show biz and the fall of Western Civilization.

After releasing their debut album Our First Mistake and selling out venues across New York City, songwriting duo and Larson Award winners Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk (The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown, Henry and Mudge) hosted the final NY concert of YOU MADE THIS TOUR on Sunday, March 27 at Le Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street). In the following videos, Broadway veterans Mandy Gonzalez and Michal Arden sing 'How to Return Home' and 'Run Away with Me' respectively.

The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street) New York's landmark concert venue presents the 11th season of its acclaimed Broadway By The Year® series, created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall on Valentine's Day, Monday, February 14th at 8PM. Kicking off the 90th Anniversary of The Town Hall, the Broadway By The Year® season will begin with THE BROADWAY MUSICALS of 1921, celebrating the great music that was performed the same year the historic building came to be.
