James Earl Jones Wins 2011 Paul Robeson Award

Actors' Equity Association announced today that James Earl Jones is the recipient of the 2011 Paul Robeson Award. Created in 1971, the Award recognizes a person who best exemplifies the principles by which Mr. Robeson lived.

Animal Planet today announced that character actor Michael Kenneth Williams will narrate the network's upcoming series TAKING ON TYSON debuting March 6 at 10 PM (ET/PT). Most notably known for his roles as Chalky White on 'Boardwalk Empire' and Omar Little on 'The Wire,' Williams' extensive stage and screen career combined with his genuine yet gritty tone was an obvious standout and a perfect match for the series. Over the past decade, Williams has appeared in numerous long-running network television series and feature films including 'Alias,' Martin Scorsese's 'Bringing Out the Dead,' 'Boston Legal,' 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' and 'The Sopranos.' Williams grew up in Flatbush, Brooklyn - just minutes away from Tyson's hometown of Brownsville.

Judi Dench Promotes New Autobiography at the National Theatre, 12/9

Veteran stage and film actress Dame Judi Dench recently released her autobiography entitled 'And furthermore' in the UK. 'And Furthermore' was published by Weiderfeld & Nicolson and focuses on Dench's professional career as well as her 30-year marriage to actor Michael Williams who passed away in 2001 after succumbing to lung cancer. The book is set for release in the US in February 2011.

Ms. Gil recently received rave reviews from both media critics and theatre-goers when she essayed the larger-than-life role of 'La Divina' Maria Callas thrice (two seasons in Manila and a touring production in Dumaguete City, Southern Philippines) in Mr. McNally's 1996 Tony Award-winning play 'Master Class'.
